Now our old buddy Humper76 is involved telling Notre Dame the only reason they are still relevant is because of Catholics and their TV contract in a thread SDSU barstool is trying to argue they are relevant because of a wrestler.
Favorite part was when one ND fan tweeted he thought they were actually talking about San Diego State and had no idea who South Dakota State was.

On twitter the bunny barstool account is in a war with Notre Dame about Adam Vinateri and how good the bunny women's basketball team is. They are also trying to say their men's team is better then the actual SDSU (San Diego State University) who won 3 games against top 25 teams this year. WTF? ?

The Jackalopes have such a national following and notoriety that ESPN switched their women's game to Baylor in pretty much every region when they got down big after the first quarter.

What a disappointing showing when they were the overwhelming favorite and higher seed. Just laid a complete turd. They never had a lead for the entirety of the 45 minute game and for the most part got dominated the entire game. Not a good showing for the summit league.
Macy Miller and the jacks can talk about their "respect" all they want but yet another year of losing their first game when for 12 months we had to hear about how their bench would start for every other team, they were going to steam roll the summit league, and were a lock for the sweet 16.

I put this here but it is in response to wabbit posters on another thread claiming they are such a nationally known brand and other condescending remarks.
If you were such a nationally known brand as you claimed they would not have called you San Diego State, the Jackalopes, and claim you lost to Ohio State on a buzzer beater already. And that is just what I can remember.
Your own beat writer tweeted he was sitting next to the TNT sideline reporter and she and her producer had to emphasize several times to the truck not to call the Jacks San Diego State.
Back to reality.......who am I kidding you are the most delusional fan base in the 5 state region.

I would honestly be surprised if TJ didnt get a job at CSU or another higher profile school before Smith. He came to SDSU with not a ton of knowledge of the area and after a rocky start made it to the NCAAs and did the same this year. This is all in his first 2 years of ever being a head coach. Smith hasn't made it anywhere. The regular season doesn't matter. Smith rebuilt a program that had been floundering, with his own recruits. TJ took over a program that had already made 3 NCAA trips 5 years and is still using mostly Nagy recruits. TJ is likely a year or two away from seeing any real offers. An NCAA run to the sweet 16 (highly doubtful) is the only thing that may change that. In addition, according to Zimmer, TJ is not looking for a step up mid-major job like CSU. Sounds like his intent is to build up SDSU and get a lower P5 job (Iowa State?) that he can use as a stepping stone into something even bigger. Smith will be around next year barring CSU and Hammond not being able to work it out. Even if Hammond doesn't take the job, which I don't think she will, Smith is one of two or three former Miles guys in line. Medved at Drake may be the front runner with Smith second. What the guy did with Drake this year was pretty crazy. The guy can flat out coach. Plus, Drake's cupboard is pretty bare next season which means Medved will be looking hard. Smith will have his best team ever returning next season. I think both Smith and TJ will be around in 2018-19. Hahaha. Spoken like a true ignorant bunny fan thinking they are Butler or VCU. Isn't every coach. Problem is that's very unlikely. I can't even think of anyone that moved from a small school with little to no national notoriety directly to a power 5 school. It just doesn't happen.

I think if some news comes out it's one thing to talk about it but living in a world of hypotheticals with this topic could get very toxic in a big hurry. For any school. I would assume everyone is staying until there is a source stating otherwise.

The rumor I heard was he blew 3 times the legal limit. I know, I know, it's rumor right. I agree and usually do not repeat rumors. But if he truly had a couples glasses of wine and was barely over the limit that would be publicly known. When you want to be shady and hide everything there is probably a reason for it. And at that point the rumor takes hold as truth and you have no one to blame but yourself or prove otherwise.

never did I say that the season was a failure but when 2 teams come out and both pretty much lay eggs in the championship game when the chips are down I would call that a fairly significant problem that needs to be addressed. never did I say that anyone should be fired but I do think that the athletic department should at least acknowledge that their is a problem and maybe have a meeting of brainstorming to talk about it. it is not just an occasional loss because it happens almost everyone at the Summit tourney and in football. I just want to know that our athletic department is taking this seriously. If the Coyotes continue to never hit the pot of gold how can you tell the fans that they should continue to attend this tourney without ever marginal success. this should be a very frustrating day and if it is not don't count on anything changing. CF you are out of line again IMO. Losing both games yesterday sucks. BAD. Quit acting like its time to hit the panic button. The Men won the conference last year and were second this year with a shot at the crown if they won the last game of the year (which they almost did). Very little graduates from this men's team.
The women have won the conference 3 out of 4 years and had a shot to make it 4 in a row if they won the last game of the year on the road to the eventual conference champion that year. The women lose very little next year.
I agree with you at some point THEY MUST WIN IN SIOUX FALLS. But the administration has already proven numerous times they are committed to success with millions in new facilities, upping coaches pay, getting multiple year contracts for all the SD schools etc. Name one thing you think they need to do?
Just cool it over the next couple weeks with the hypersensitive overreactions and negativity. Everyone is just as frustrated as you. Most just do a better job at channeling that energy.

The denial on the bunny board is amazing. Nidaros is calling out Yote53 for banning 2 people on our board. The hypocrisy is so strong from the board that wants nothing but compliments from outside posters. He is also trying to claim the "Beat State Not Your Wife" incident from 2004 turned into a USD conspiracy theory. www.keloland.com/news/article/other/sdsu-students-react-to-athletic-directors-arrestI may have to crack that shirt out for the summit tourney this weekend.

I lost all respect for Stig and their football team after the "not my MVP", faking cramps 22 times during this years game, and not suspending players until after last season was over when they found out about infractions before their playoff game. All the lying that is coming out of this issue like "I've never drank a beer in my life" but I'm slamming Joose does little to affect that.
It does make him lose a lot of credibility with recruits and their parents however. As does the lack of ownership and punishment by their administration.

Self imposed punishment that he will not tell anyone the details. What a joke. Shame on the AD, President, and anyone else involved who are sitting on their hands. I disagree coyotefan, they don't get a pass on this. Especially after hiding it and now mishandling it with no punishment. Bunny alums should be embarrassed with the handling of this.

A PBT can be refused, without it there really isn't any kind of BAC to put in the police report. The blood test wouldn't have been back by the time the report was written. It will be interesting to see what his BAC was though. I like to think the worst in State so of course I would like to think coverup, but I really don't have anything to back that up with. I guess I can't hardly expect them to call a press conference the next day to announce that Stig got arrested the night before. To me the most interesting part of this story is that Stig was drinking Joose. WTF? That's what homeless people drink. Maybe Stig was celebrating a late Hobo days. Stig does seem like a good guy. I agree on some State fans holier than thou attitude, but I don't blame Stig for that. He was drinking Joose because everyone from Brookings is a trash bag.
Anyone with a mullet, shit on their boots, or overalls will have some form of blue on this weekend in Sioux Falls at the Denny. I'm surprised they have not worked out a pig auction during halftime of their quarterfinal game each year.
This is a gold mine for other teams student sections this weekend.

This story keeps getting updated and it keeps getting worse (or weirder). Turns out Stig put his car in a ditch and was drunk and stumbling in front of the cop. Original story said he was drinking wine (insert sacramental wine joke here) but it turns out he was drinking Joose. WTF, is this guy 20, female, or does he live in a trailer park? I don't think I have ever seen an adult male drink Joose or any of that other flavored malt beverage crap. When I heard the story I didn't think he was pounding down a handle of Crown. I suppose Bartles and James I might have expected. But Joose? linkAlso, updates now say he didn't take a breathalyzer and they didn't include his blood alcohol in the police report... the smell of fishiness is overwhelming the smell of cow crap in Brookings... I would love to know what his actual BAC was? Some posters on the bunny board are trying to make this seem like not a big deal or a simple mistake to be forgotten about because Stig was at 0.08. In reality he may have been at 0.16. We may never know.

Does this mean Stig will miss the first 6 games as a player would. Or will he wait to suspend himself until after the end of next season like the players he let play in the playoff game after testing positive for pot, steroids, etc.
