Yesterday is behind us. It's time to get back on track and knock off one of the preseason favorites in the league...UNI. We all know that we are capable of winning this game, but we have to play 60 minutes of smart, and relatively error free football. If it happens that Kevin is back in the lineup, and is 100%, then that's great. If not, Ryan can get his done as well.
We need a totally "amped" up crowd Saturday. Get there early, find a tailgate, and let's have some fun. After all, this is why we come to the games, to meet with old friends and watch a hell of a football game. This team is capable. Let's get behind them. Go Yotes

I tailgated before the NAU game to the tune of 3 beers and the Yotes scored 3 TD's and had 3 interceptions. Coincidence? Not taking a chance for D-days.

Kevin Earl did workout and practice last night and his thumb withstood the test. It is being assumed amongst the coaches that he will play Saturday. I'm not certain if that means he starts or plays when called on.
It's time to forget Saturday. We got beat by truly one of the best teams in the MVFC. They go to Fargo this weekend, so let's see how they do on the road against a quality team. My guess is they could feasibly run into a buzz saw like we did in Carbondale, and SDSU did in Normal. When the league is this tough, there are just gonna be days where the wheels fall off on the road when you get knocked out of your comfort zone. It happens all the time.
We need to send a signal to the Valley that we can compete against anyone. A convincing win would do just that on Saturday. Again I say, let's get to Vermillion early, fore up the grills, turn on the boom boxes, and let's get ready to play the panthers. We need this one to earn some respect.

Homecoming can be a distracting week for players. Motivating, but distracting.

On 1230 AM this afternoon, Joe Glenn said Earl is starting against UNI and will have "no restrictions".

What's the word on Iddings for Saturday? Coach Glenn said during his Argus interview with Mick that Drew didn't play much at all in the second half. The "live" stream from SIU was atrocious so I missed that part of the game, but sure hope we have him healthy for Saturday. Weren't we hoping to get someone else back on the D-line this Saturday too?

In a radio interview with John Thayer today, Glenn reported that Iddings has an ankle injury but is expected to play on Saturday. Also, Jacobs should be able to go.

Actually very well written and what he said is true. All of it. Time will tell if we have arrived yet.
