Throwing numbers like that out with nothing to back it up. Ahem……….. Somehow seems appropriate that a UNI fan would come on here a deliver a cheap shot after the game is done.

I'm asking this question because I honestly don't know the answer...do USD fans troll the message boards of opposing teams as much some of the other fans troll our message board? I occassionally go to other fan boards the week we play them, and never see any other Yote posters (I don't bother checking the other Dakota boards though). The UNI board was the absolute worst though. They were total pricks last year when I suggested we may give them a challenge, so it was all the sweeter when we beat them at their place. I really can't say I've had a positive experience with the entire UNI fan base, including the arrogant jerks behind me at Saturday's game. I'm glad to see us getting great recruits out of their backyard, I bet they hate that the Dakota schools went D1 and started taking their recruits.

Give him time. He's in his 3rd year, he hasn't even had HIS team yet. He's the right guy to lead this team.

I believe UNI DL Issac Ales was set to sign a LOI with USD for a full ride when UNI offered him a half scholly and he picked UNI. What high rated UNI target has USD landed?

And, as if on cue, another UNI fan comes out of the fan board wood-work. Love it.
Definitely bummed out by the play calling on Saturday. When the 300 pound lady at the end of our row knows whether we're running the ball or throwing, we're in big trouble. Aside from being predictable I couldn't figure out if we were just calling safe plays to ease Earl back in to the swing of things or what. There were several opportunities where guys were open, but the pressure from the defense made it a non-starter. Our O-line definitely got handled on Saturday, but again a lot of that had to do with the play calling as UNI's defense isn't any more spectacular than anything else we've seen this year. On special teams, I said this before in another thread, but we should be getting a touch-back on kick-offs every time. No questions asked. UNI has figured this out, not sure why we're so slow on the uptake. On punting, well, that has become to this year's team, what long snapping was a few years ago. Just not acceptable for this level of football. Overall, still lots more room for improvement than I thought there would be at this point in the season. A win at Missouri State would be nice, but I won't be holding my breath. On a happier note, the tail-gating was better than I have ever seen it at USD so that was great. Also, it was fun to see Sold Out signs on all the doors at the Dome for a change.

Starting OC for us and doing a damn fine job. From Iowa City. Decommitted from UNI to come play for the coyotes. First one that comes to mind I guess. Matt Huffer. Sr. 3 yr starter at LT. Also Decommit from UNI. From Cedar Rapids. After the game last year at your place your head coach came over and told him he "did a great job and they made a mistake not getting him to Cedar Falls" I'm sure there's more, those are just the ones I thought of without looking at a roster. Come to think of it, we have a lot of Iowa guys on our roster that were being recruited by UNI. Right from your backyard. Don't come in here talking down to people. I would bet you are losing a lot more recruits to dakota schools than you are stealing away from them.

Nile Banks, also from Iowa City, IA is another Coyote OL starter who had UNI interest. I believe VanGinkel also had some interest from them too. Either way, fightsd has it right, the Dakota schools are taking a lot of Iowa kids.

Having interest is one thing.
Name some that were a top target for UNI.
Schools have contact with 70-80 kids per class.

Plus it's a few kids from just one class from just one of the Dakota schools. All of us going D1 is really going to hurt UNI in the long run

You have even less of an idea who ours would be. Somebody tell Mel Kiper uniftw is gunning for his job!
