It feels like it's been an eternity since our last home game. I can't wait to see our team come out on homecoming in these sweet uniforms, healthier than we've been since the season started, and feeding off the electric crowd. Yet another fantastic D Days so far!

Really looking forward to this match up.
The key on offense I think will be to give Earl time to pass. Cannot allow UNI to tee off on him. This will be a big test for the OL. If they can do this USD will also have success rushing the ball.
On defense - make UNI earn everything they get - no long runs or over the top passes. UNI has struggled to finish drives with TDs this year.
Fans - how many false starts can we get them to have because they can't hear?........

I hate to say any one game is this or that, but there is a part of me that thinks today's game will define if we "have arrived" or not. I think it's important we get a win, and somewhat important it be decisive. I don't mean 3 TD's, but maybe 10.

Tailgate set up. Smoker is rolling. Just ran into USDLaw and having a beer. Happy D-Days.

I know it is D-Days and at one time I could have hit 10 beers pregame, but not sure if I can hit that level anymore. However, rest assured I will give it the old college try.

At the game and our return game is putrid and our punt coverage could cost us the game. We might as well go for it on all fourth downs.

At the game and our return game is putrid and our punt coverage could cost us the game. We might as well go for it on all fourth downs. Yep, Special Teams were costly yet again. We averaged a net 30 yards per punt to their 38 yards. Kickoffs we had a net of 32 yards per to their 40. They had 219 yards in punt and kick returns to our 60. All of this combined led to an average starting field position of the 19 yard line for USD. UNI's average start was the 40 yard line. That is awfully hard to overcome. However, our scoreboard operator may be worse.

Special teams killed us today. The hidden yardage UNI gained through special teams flipped the field and cost us all day long.

We threw two picks and they threw none. That was the biggest difference today.
Still a very happy D Days!

2 picks, 7 sacks, and over 100 return yards each on punts and kick-offs sure don't help the cause.

Do I even need to talk about the number of penalties? Holy smoke. Never gonna win a game doing that.

I know this isn't the right spot, but I was very disappointed with the floats. If you are going to do it, at least put a little effort into it.
