I look forward to seeing some South Dakota fans this weekend. It will be a high of 101 degrees so game time should still be above 90 - be prepared. The Aggies played FBS Nevada-Reno pretty tough, losing 31-17. Comparative stats had both teams at 22 first downs, rushing 89 for the Aggies, 232 for the Wolfpack. Passing 238 for the Aggies and 163 for UNR. No fumbles, no interceptions for either team. FG 1 of 1 for both teams, sacks by the Aggies 2 and only 1 for UNR. The big difference in the game were some dropped passes for the Aggies that were right on the mark but QB Scott still had 68% completions. We have you and Northern Colorado lined up as wins but like most teams we're marked as wins on the opposing teams web site. It should be a good game - no blow-out either way.

Looking forward to seeing the Yotes get a crack at a fellow FCS opponent. Anyone know if the game can be streamed from the UC-Davis site or from some other source?

USD has a team that looks healthier, more experienced, and deeper than we have had in the past few years. I would say that I would be disappointed if we can't win this game, but then I remember we haven't won a game outdoors since beating Minnesota in 2010. Should be a competitive game at any rate. I'm also interested to hear if there are any viewing options for us up here in SD

Will there be a live feed available anywhere for this one? Would like to be able to watch.

So far I only see Live Stats and KHTK radio. Something may show up later. This game is two weeks before school starts (quarter system), so the crowd is likely to be small (4000-5000) especially with the heat. Even our really nice marching band will only be half it's normal size. I will be there as always. At the beginning of the season every team is going to have a winning record, at least according to their fans. Somehow it doesn't end that way. Aggie fans have gotten pretty realistic since leaving DII.

Thanks goags72. I see your posters are concerned about the heat and rightfully so as 101 with higher temps on the field is brutal. Going to need to stay hydrated for sure. The Aggies look like they will likely test our secondary with their passing game and I'm hoping we can put some pressure on your QB and limit his accuracy.

This is a hot stadium much like the new stadiums for the SF 49'ers and Stanford. I'm not sure what they were thinking. No air flow and artificial turf. Where the students, band and visitors are has the sun in your eyes in late afternoon. The game should have started at 7 pm like at our old stadium. Artificial turf was questioned at one of the leading agricultural schools in the world. The grass turf at the old stadium was much cooler. If you come, take a nice tour of large campus (34,000 students) and the very nice downtown of Davis.

Coyotes fell in the fourth quarter to a pretty good aggie squad. All I remember about that stadium is being down in what seemed like a hole and billows of burger smoke coming out of a concession stand across the field on the other side of the stadium. pretty hot that day too if I remember correctly. How new is the new stadium? Would this be the same one I saw five years ago?

It's the same stadium as in 2010. It was new in about 2007. The old stadium was across campus and was a glorified high stadium with bleachers and real grass. The current stadium just got new artificial turf and you will get first crack at it.

I can't really tell you about the feed. I go to all of the home games. By the way, just to make sure - is Coyote two or three syllables? From Yote, I'm assuming two.
