Why be a douche like that? Oh give me a break! So sorry, so sorry. I am excited! How about a break Mr. Cool! Where have you been all day? I am the one who did all the work on here. It's not being cool; it's winning with class. Celebrate OUR win. It has nothing to do with state. Especially when their fans were actually coming on here to congratulate us.

So this is the first win in Fargo since 1978. I would like to hear someone on this board sound off if they were there in 1978. Just to help with the math. That was 37 years ago

2 years ago on opening weekend of SD pheasant season, I enjoyed hunting and fellowship with family followed by listening to the 2nd half of the big comeback win over UNI. I also enjoyed some pheasant hunting and fellowship with yesterday and got in front of a TV in time to watch the 2nd half of the comeback win over the Bison. Opening weekend of SD pheasant season is truly something special.

That was 37 years ago Yep, Yoteforever was there pounding on the Bison. I was in law school at USD (I was just two years old) and watched every home game in Vermillion the three years I lived there. Yoteforever's 1978 team won the North Central Conference. They beat the Bison at Dakota Field, 17-14, on 9/30/78, avenging a 6-9 loss from the prior season. Beannie Cooper was the head coach.

The impressive part of the win was that it really was a well-deserved win, nothing "fluke" about it. No big TOs, blown calls, statistically close, with Coyotes leading most categories. Like coach said, "they didn't give us anything, we earned it", true that!
I have high regard for the Bison, and I am sure that they look at it as a lack of execution on their part, and they might be right on that. But the Coyotes can and should move forward with the belief that this is how they can play any opponent in the Valley. A big step forward.
I know it won't mean much until they do it week after week, so let's go Bear hunting. Go Yotes!

Just now had the chance to watch the replay of the game. Very impressive effort by our team. We got down early, but just flat out beat NDSU from the 2nd quarter onward. Can't say enough about this impressive victory. The 7 1/2 minute march down the field to tie the game, instant three and out forced by the defense, then one more march to the game winning field goal was just the most impressive series of events I can ever recall the Yotes putting together. Our team showed zero fear in this game and should be brimming with confidence moving forward. Beat Missouri State and capitalize on this new found life.
Go Yotes!

Was trying to find highlights of the game and came across this cool video from one of our fans at the game showing the game winning FG and team singing the fight song to the visiting fans:

Very cool video. It's good to see the players running all over the field and then serenading the fans on their way into the lockerroom. There will be some pretty excited Coyotes running out of that tunnel on Saturday to take the field against Missouri State.

Easy selections: Saeger MVFC Offensive player of the week. Bergner MVFC Special Teams player of the week. www.valley-football.org/Congrats to those guys. They will never forget that game and the gutsy finish. Well deserved recognition.

Congratulations on the win, Coyotes. You earned it. We got outplayed and outcoached. Good luck the rest of the year! Thanks BisonCardinal, that's gracious of you. Many of us have felt that we have improved over last year but either the offense sputtered when the defense played well, or the defense sputtered when the offense played well...Saturday we just played solid on both sides. It goes without saying the target is on NDSU's back given their success, so you're probably going to get most teams best when they play you. I wouldnt rule out another run at the championship for you, you're still a very good team. But it was nice to get the win, I won't deny that. Best wishes the balance of the year.
