It takes balls to finish a game like that. What game and what a great day to be a Yote!

That's to bad. Great kid, and a great competitor. He is the epitome of being a Coyote

He was clearly hurting on that final drive. He made that big run to put us into field goal range and got up just wincing and holding his arm. He really left it all on the field Saturday. Really stinks to hear he is missing the rest of another season (three times in three years I believe).

What a game, what a game, what a game. I usually try to let them sink in a little before putting in my $0.02. I still can't get over this one.
Post-game thoughts:
1. I really enjoy the ESPN3 game feeds 2. Wesley called a great game on offense..... feels good typing that one 3. Our defense is brutal. Between Lage and Van Ginkel, I'm very pleased with our OLBs 4. All around good job by the coaching staff. There's been too many times in recent memory with poor game management. I loved when we lined up in the fake XP look. Also having the confidence to run it for the 1st downs on the final drive.
I'm just really hoping we treat this like a launching-off point and finish the rest of the season strong. We haven't been without big wins in the past, but in recent years it seems like we lay an egg the following week.
Lastly, if anyone needs a good chuckle, head over to Bisonville. You'd think the world ended. There's lots of "no chance at the playoffs" talk. Good read if you've got the time.

We have to keep moving forward and blow out Missouri State on Saturday. They have lost all of their games against D1 competition this year by at least 4 TDs, I think they've even given up 70 a few times already. Good chance to get back up to .500 in conference play.

Coyotes shock the FCS world USD 24 NDS 21 Nice call. You better buy a powerball ticket to night. I don't know all the numbers you should pick, but I would guess two of them will be 24 and 21. Bison alum and fan here with my first post on this forum:
-- 1st off, how in the world did you make that prediction yoteforever? A dream? A revelation? That has got to be one in a billion odds to call the exact score. You the man.
-- Second, I love this thread and all the posts. Funny how so many were against the USD win prediction (I would have been too) and how it all proved to be wrong.
-- Third, I hope our offense finds a way to run. NDSU has a great passing game. Defense is spotty at this point but I honestly think it is just a really young in-experienced group that is learning. I'm not worried about our D too much. The thing that really has me concerned is our complete lack of ability to run. It is nearly impossible to be a championship team if you can't run. We'll see if we can get that fixed.
-- Fourth, congrats on a great game play by USD. They truly beat NDSU straight up no question about it. I haven't watched other USD games but I will tell you that my only thoughts watching that game were that USD was playing some really tough solid football. Pass coverage was great on almost every play. The run defense was very solid and both the O and D lines were strong and making good pushes. And most importantly, USD played a really solid game in the penalty area. I didn't see any dirty play on USD's side and very few penalties. I hated to see some of the stuff from the Bison that I saw as I think some of the players were getting a little dirty. That is one thing I hate to ever see out of my team and I've always felt that in the past this has been one of our strongest assets is great sportsmanship and clean play. I think the lack of penalties and good sportsmanship is the most important parts of the game. USD did great. In my opinion they looked like a top 10 (maybe even top 5) FCS team. Well coached, good execution, winning at the line, very few penalties etc. That was a fun game to watch and I'd say you should be proud to be a USD fan. Congrats the huge upset!

Guess I'll continue. - Who is going to be in the big game at the end? This thing has been so mixed with high ranked teams being beat by low ranked teams and a complete lack of consistency all around. Is coastal going to take it? Will NDSU step up? Jacksonville has been beaten. I haven't followed James Madison but is seems like they are hot. I'm really interested in yoteforever's prediction in particular.

I'm putting my money on the field rather than NDSU for the title this year. They don't seem to be the team of the past four years and aren't going to hold that envious home field throughout the entire playoffs again.

Yes they dropped the game to Montana, and somehow we put together the best coyote game I've ever watched. Possibly ever? But they still play in the valley. I wouldn't be shocked to see Coastal Carolina go down before Frisco. Western Ill. played them to 2 scores on the road, and WIU is definitely not the prized bull of the MVFC. I just don't think Coastal has enough to beat a top tier valley team, whomever that may be.

NDSU will likely have to go on the road now in the playoffs most likely and have been exposed by running QB's a bit the last 2 weeks. I think SDSU can look at what both UNI did as well as what USD did with the read option and incorporate some good things with Taryn Christion to give NDSU fits if they meet again. Lastly, if the injury rumors about Wentz prove to be true, they will have a hard time getting throught the valley unscathed the rest of the way.

This could be the year the Valley cannibalizes itself and the winner comes from some other, weaker conference.
I think NDSU bounces back strong. They will address things and will be in the hunt. Illinois State is my #1 pick with WIU right there at their heels. YSU laid an egg against SDSU, just like I think SDSU laid an egg against NDSU, it happens, but YSU and SDSU have the ability to beat anybody in the FCS. Heck, after Saturday I believe the Coyotes are the team we thought they were at the start of the season. They put it together, finally, and showed what they can do. They laid two eggs to start the conference but maybe now they've hit their stride? We'll find out.
