This is no longer speculation but now a reality. There should be some very interesting discussion from now until the announcement of the new head coach. There should be plenty to talk about.
Jed Stugart and Glen Caruso seem to be the initial front runners. Can we thrown anyone else into the mix?

I don't think Calen Deboer is out of the discussion. He applied for the North Dakota job after all.
You think Craig Bohl misses FCS football? (I'm kidding, relax).

If being a Coyote to the core holds any sway I wonder if Jim Glowgoski has enough experience now as a HC to be mentioned?

Deboer should not be out of the discussion. Is there any way to bring Deboer and Stugart to Vermillion. That is probably asking too much but would be fun to imagine. Several weeks ago I read someone kidding about Bohl coming to USD. It may seem far fetched but ya never know. No one should be discounted at this point. I hear Les Miles might actually be on the hot seat at LSU, bring him in.    Maybe we could get Denny Sanford to pay his salary for a few years. |

Regardless of all of the blame directed as Wesley I'm sure he'll get Joe's support. To Wesley's credit he's more than put in his time at USD. Hell, he started his time here back in the John Austin era. If anyone on the current staff deserves an interview it's Wesley Beschorner. Personally, however, I'm not sure I can hand the keys over to someone without any HC experience.

A courtesy interview would be good for Wes though. Experiencing the interview process will help him in the future. I have no problem with courtesy interviews. But hiring anyone on this current staff would be a major mistake. |

It should not be up to Joe Glenn who is the next coach. It should be up to Herbster and whoever is on the search committee. If Glenn is on that committee that is fine. USD needs to consider all options and not get tunnel vision. |
