Streveler Still had 2 yrs of eligibility....really not sure how it's different. People need to get off these kids' case about transferring. Playing collegiate sports is a business. If they can better themselves moving to a new school then so be it. We may not agree with the decision but frankly it's not our decision to make. They need to do what is best for them. If I want to switch jobs to better my family does that make me a quitter? It's no different than switching schools. It is different because it is more personal to the school, teammates, and fans who believed in him and supported him when no other school gave him the opportunity. I agree with bt71... I'm sure there are numerous kids that were on that roster last year that aren't this year and nobody really cares, because they weren't big contributors... This kid is on the radar because he was a stud. It works in both directions, however rare for kids to move up opposed to down. Collegiate sports is a cut throat business, new recruits are brought in to replace the current with the hope that they are better. Remember nobody knows what the USD offer was and sometimes kids choose their highest level offer, while opting for a lesser package... Maybe if that was the case he worked his tail off to improve his scholly situation and put himself in position to move up a level... Or it could be as simple as fulfilling his dream of playing at a big time FBS school... I'd be more understanding about the concern if he transferred to NDSU or SDSU...

It is different because it is more personal to the school, teammates, and fans who believed in him and supported him when no other school gave him the opportunity. Honest question. Did those of you that feel betrayed by AVG feel the same way when Amy took the head coaching job at Nebraska? Obviously one is a coach and the other an athlete, but it is essentially the same thing. Both made upward moves to help their careers. I didn't hear anyone say they felt betrayed by her, or she let the players and fans down. Would have been a little upset if she didn't take the job. Not sure why everyone is so upset about AVG doing the same thing. Also not sure why him leaving makes people assume that he thought "USD wasn't good enough for him". I'll be honest, if he ended up at SDSU or NDSU, I would have felt betrayed. He's also a 20 year old kid. Time to let it go.
