Still pissed he left his teammates and fans behind that gave him his shot... Whatever... that being said, if offered, he should take the Iowa offer like Yote 53 said. Iowa is his best opportunity to get the attention he evidently thinks he can't get with the Yotes.

After 2 games Andrew has 8 total tackles with 2.5 for loss and 1/2 sack. He is tied for 38th in the conference for tackles at Iowa Western. Not exactly eye
popping numbers. I still wish him well!

Not crazy numbers, but he accomplished his goal. He has offers from all of the P5 teams he wanted. His goal now needs to be staying healthy and continuing to improve his physical conditioning.

JUCO can be tricky... Some teams are loaded with FBS talent and are feeder schools for top programs. Athletes are there for different reasons: NCAA non qualifiers, academic issues, off field issues, etc... Not that uncommon for D1 transfers not to start at top JUCO schools.

JUCO players get most of their recruiting attention during spring practice, not during their season or from stats. Not shocking that he doesn't have huge numbers early. But like CE said, AVG has accomplished what he set out to do. Offers from the Badgers, Hawks, and Huskers kind of legitimize his decision to transfer. I hope he does well where ever he ends up.

AVG is going to Wisconsin. Really figured he would be Iowa bound. Wish him the best but am skeptical that this plan will be worth the risk.

If his big picture plan is the NFL, he didn't make the right choice. I hate Iowa with a fiery passion, but if he had a chance it was with Ferentz. Now that his recruiting process is all but wrapped up, I hope we can let this thread die. He abandoned the coaches that gave him a chance when nobody else did, and worse than that, he abandoned his teammates. We can continue following the likes of Compton, Starr, and Logan. But AVG is not a Coyote.

I don't see the need to keep harping over it. D1 football is a business, the turnover rate is high. Hard to blame the kid, and hell he's succeeding. He had a pile of Power 5 offers and is going to a perennial big 10 contender. Good for him.

With that theory you could say the same thing about Streveler. He abandoned his team, coaches etc. this game is a business. Kids should be able to go wherever they want if it gives them a better opportunity. Coaches can do it -see Bob Nielson - so why can't players?

The difference is Streveler graduated from Minn. Plus he wasn't being played at the position they recruited him for.

The difference is Streveler graduated from Minn. Streveler Still had 2 yrs of eligibility....really not sure how it's different. People need to get off these kids' case about transferring. Playing collegiate sports is a business. If they can better themselves moving to a new school then so be it. We may not agree with the decision but frankly it's not our decision to make. They need to do what is best for them. If I want to switch jobs to better my family does that make me a quitter? It's no different than switching schools.

It is different because it is more personal to the school, teammates, and fans who believed in him and supported him when no other school gave him the opportunity.
