The "Plaz" is on the end of Market Street across from Café Brule. A town square that holds events every Thursday night in the summer, because, you know, the weekend begins on Thursdays in Vermillion.

Incorporating the game watch with Thursdays on the Plaz, maybe? Correct. I read the 'Plaz" in another message. I had not heard of the "Plaz" before. What is the scoop? Are you unfamiliar with Thursdays on the Platz? Every throughout the summer there is food, drinks, live music on the plaza at the corner of Market and Main with Market Street blocked off. If that doesn't drive people into Leo's for the game (Leo's being on Market) I'll be very surprised.

Somehow didn't hear until just now that the game will be projected onto a big screen outside on the Platz following the event from 6-8. That's where you'll find me watching the game tomorrow!

Sounds like that's the place to be! I'm assuming there will be beer available? If not, Leos is right there I guess.
How did you all hear about this event? I'm generally pretty plugged in to things going on around town and this is the first I've heard of it.

Someone came into my place of work here in town talking about people putting up a screen this afternoon. I went back and checked the weekly email of Vermillion events we get from the chamber and buried in there is a listing for this game being projected downtown. I got this email on Monday so it isn't a last minute plan.

This is what I was referring to before. I didn't know any of the details. I was told about it by somebody from the University.

The chamber and university really dropped the ball getting this event made known to the public.

Hello Everyone. Wanted to confirm the rumors that the game will be played on the Platz tonight. The word came out so late only because we were unsure of the technology and didn't want to promise and not deliver. But we feel good about it now and we will try and make a late push to make it happen. Thank you to the VCDC and the University at large for making this happen as they really took it by the horns when we were pretty busy with staff either in New Mexico or tied up at the volleyball game!
USD is sponsoring Thursday on the Platz tonight starting at 6. There will be music, games and food. Then at 8 the Platz ends, and the game will begin. Don't forget volleyball at the SCSC at 7.

...volleyball at the SCSC at 7. Ok, this has to stop. It's the second time I have read SCSC and I finally figured out they were talking about the new arena. I seriously was thinking about some building on St. Cloud's campus. My formal push to nickname the building "The Den" begins. "The Den" works, obviously from the standpoint of a Coyote Den but also because DENny Sanford donated a buttload of money. Come on folks, get on board, start calling this new place The Den.

Live from Albuqurque. Current temp is 67 degrees. Sunny skies. Calling for a high of 86. Temps around 78 at kickoff.
It was all business on the plane. Guys have a quiet confidence about them.
All that's left is kickoff.

I'm just calling it the arena but understand why the university wants SCSC to catch on.

The reason we've shied away from calling it the den, especially for volleyball, is that the previous competition space for volleyball in the dome was called the "Coyote Den". So saying a volleyball game is going to take place in the Den could lead to confusion for folks who have attended volleyball games at our old space in the past.
