#31 has given up two TDs because of poor tackling - gotta clean that up!

I am submitting a formal request that we never have a QB return kicks ever again.

I never heard how much we are making for playing this game. Anyone know how much the check will be for from New Mexico? I know we received a $500k buyout from Cal.

Halftime and it's 35-14 New Mexico. Everything started so promising but we are kind of in a downward spiral lately. The typical Coyote team would pack up their suitcases at halftime and mentally leave town. Now we will see what the Coyotes are all about. I think Nielson get the guys ready to go and makes a game of it. The D has a long long ways to go. We do have to remember that this is a fairly good FBS team. Not elite but pretty good for mid level FBS. We saw some glimpses of some really promising football, now we just need to be a bit more consistent.

We are overmatched and we were supposed to be - but I'm not disappointed with what I've seen so far.

The O looks pretty good. The D isn't bad, just too many big plays given up. Doug Lewis burned on 3 TD passes. The depth on D is a concern. I think teams that pound it out can wear us out.

Option team. Only time we see an O like this. Every year we have fits with the one option team we play, whether D2, FCS or FBS.
Nielson has talked about team speed lacking. That is clearly on D, at least.

Left to put my daughter to bed tied at 14. Should have just stayed there.

Thank you, sd4ever for getting this thread back on track!!!!! Some of us don't really care what the new venue is called. I'm just looking for a good game with the Lobos, win or lose. Will watch on Root Sports out here in the western woods and listen to the play-by-play on KIMM Rapid City. You're welcome! Damn muffed punt. This game could be a lot closer than what it is. Crap! I'm back!! Go Yotes!

The muffed punt was a killer. As were the two big passes where the defender was there for a tackle but didn't bring them down.

Empty backfield and LB from UNM comes untouched and causes a turnover on a forced fumble.

Nice drive by the Yotes and we have a sliver of life, now 38-21. Streveler probably had his best drive passing the ball that time. It looked like Saeger was getting ready to come in.

I lied, the D looks bad, no depth.

We have a lot to work on with the D. Offense will be fine.
