Some Twitter indications that the USD women's basketball team might be one of the teams featured on SVP SportsCenter tonight.

SVP's show did a very good job of recognizing the Lady Yotes amazing 30-2 season while showing their celebration of their SLT championship. Mentioned their 19 straight wins and that their last loss before that was to number one SC.
Will probably be on you tube in a day or so.

Saw it shared by the team's social media accounts though. I scrolled past the video a second time today and then had the realization that we've come so far that a feature piece on ESPN doesn't even seem that unusual anymore. There was a time where I wouldn't be able to wait to watch such a thing. This is one special program.

Front and center! I've heard some denigrate her, but I think Claudia has been a tremendous asset to the program.

Great find and great article. I'd never see half this stuff if it wasn't for some of you people on here. Thanks for posting!

Here is the recap of the interview with Plitzuweit. It was actually a rather boring interview but not much has happened from March until present so what else can really be expected.
Mark Ovenden was the interviewer. They reviewed last season. The Coyotes finished #1 academically of all D1 teams. Unbelievable accomplishment. According to Dawn the players are smarter than the coach. Wondering if the team is actually ready for a season after all that has happened since last season ended. Much still needs to be done in many aspects to get ready for the season. Many meeting have happened. The team still needs to find away despite all the challenges facing them. The off season was very different. The new players are trying to connect with the program. The seniors have been leading in many ways, including helping the community. Last years team got along with each other very well and had great chemistry. The team had alot of chatter going on during their practice. The players were having fun during practice and Dawn got a kick out of that. Aspen Williston will not be eligible for this year but was said to be a wonderful person. She is making it challenging in practice, especially again Sjerven. She was asked about AJ (her son). She said he is doing well but didn't elaborate on it much. They don't even know who they will be playing a month from now. It sounds like Dawn isn't able to shed much light on the logistics of the season.

Just listened to the interview, and I have to agree. Dawn really is a fun interview, and is entertaining. But at the same time, she wasn't super revealing. Not in a Bill Bellichick or Nick Saban @sshole way. She just tells great stories that don't actually reveal anything. Coach speak. Last year was amazing in many ways, but it seems like interviews want to just focus on last year.
Right now I want to know how the new players affect any changes in schemes and strategy, or which new players we will see on the floor, etc. She isn't yet giving much up.

Fudge. Graham does a great job covering mid-majors for ESPN. I suspect this means even less coverage for NCAAW, and nearly nothing for mid-majors.

Liv Korngable was interviewed by Thayer on the Yotecast a few days ago: goyotes.com/podcasts/season-2-episode-13-david-herbster-liv-korngable-and-bruce-fischbach/55Liv's interview starts at the 25:30 mark. The part that really stood out to me was that she credited the upper-classmen with instilling in her a strong work ethic, practicing daily on your own, outside of regular practice time. She specifically mentioned the dedication of Alison Arens and Ciara Duffy. That's just another great example of how a team's culture creates success. Seems like a broken record, but it bears repeating....
