Probably bigger than the Western offers because it seems like you're having trouble just keeping your doors open. Unnecessary. He had a valid point that some offers may have been more full than others, no need to attack WIU on the state's budget issues. Yes that was my point that some school may like a kid so much and they offer him a full and another may only offer him partiale doesn't mean that coach is wrong just cause he likes him more than another school especially at the FCS level a lot of is about the system you run.

I maybe in the minority but anytime a MVFC is playing an FBS team i root for them even the red birds as hard as that is for me to admit.

Prediction Friday! What does everybody think?
48 - 45 Yotes (follows a script much like last year - Yotes get up a couple scores, then BG finds its rhythm/depth, but we hold on)

I have concerns about our running game, I wasn't particularly impressed with the unit against Drake. Will need Frederick and the frosh to step up. I predict the offense scores 28-35 points, but will that be enough?
Last week we took 7 yards away from their run game. While BGSU is like 3 levels above Drake, I think this shows we are greatly improved against the run this year. I think that if our pass rush can bother their QB all day the Yotes will steal one on the road. I don't think our DBs will be able to keep us ahead without that pressure.
Neither team is likely to run away with this one, should be a close game to the end.

This will be a great test for our squad, every level of our team should get tested, and that is what we need right now, a test. I was excited to see us dominate an inferior team last week, but this will be a different game. The boys know they can play on the same field as the Falcons, it's about execution this week. I'd imagine we're going to try and do our damage through the air, and hopefully get Strev going in the run game. I don't think we'll be able to pound the rock in our zone run scheme against a team that is bigger, has more depth, and might be a tad more athletic. Don't get me wrong, our Yotes should make a game out of this one,and you know BGSU is a little nervous with us coming to town after hanging 77. Yotes 38,Falcons 28.

Actually if you look at Nielson's 2 recruiting classes they actually beat out NDSU, SDSU and others in the Missouri Valley Conference to win the recruit. They also beat out FBS schools as well. Below are just a few I could find. Peter Klug- KU Offer, NDSU offer, UNI Offer, SDSU offer Mark Collins Jr.- SDSU offer, UNI offer, SIU offer, UND offer, Missouri State offer, Illinois State offer Nick Kramer- UNI offer Jacob Mathew - SDSU offer, Illinois State offer, NDSU offer, Ohio offer Kody Case - UND offer Reggie Crawford- Wyoming offer,Western Illinois offer, Missouri state offer, University of Illinois offer, Ball state offer Kolade Amusan - Eastern Michigan offer Tyler Ciurej - Colorado state offer, Liberty offer, New Mexico offer, SDSU offer Nathan Schultz- Illinois State offer, UND offer, SDSU offer, Stephen F. Austin offer, Western Illinois offer Dakarai Allen- South Alabama offer Ben Klett - Western Michigan offer Jake Matthew was committed to SDSU and flipped hours before because of the business school at USD. Believe Austin Wallace had offers from Western and Illinois state as well. We are certainly starting to win a lot more recruiting battles than we ever did in the Glenn era. If I remember correctly Matthew stated the "business degree" and program at SDSU was embellished quite a bit during the recruiting process into something it wasn't.

I'll go 38-35 BG. We have our chances but don't convert.

I think it will be close. I hate making score predictions, because I think they are pointless. I will say this - I am very confident that we can win this game, but I do not believe it will be easy. I am not going to thumb my nose at the talent that BG will put on the field. BG is a large school located in a VERY fertile recruiting ground, however. I don't have a great feel for the coaching talent they have, but based on the resume of the HC, I am not impressed at all. I know they will have sound athletes, regardless of the head coach.
I expect both scores to be in the high 20s to low 30s. BG's offense was terrible last week and their defense held up OK considering the competition. Their DL looks very similar to ours in terms of size. I'd like to hope that will translate into running lanes and time for Strev to throw.
To me this game is comparable to playing an SDSU or an NDSU. We are going to need to play clean, explosive football to win. We cannot give up turnovers for points; we cannot break contain and give up a special teams score; and we cannot give up explosive plays (20 yards of more) on defense. If we can do that, I think we win.
I have not doubt we will score points. To me, this all comes down to sound defense and mistake free special teams.

I agree that the Coyotes can win the game, but do you think they will win? When it comes to the defense I really only have one very basic formula. Get off the field as quickly as possible because if not Bowling Green will probably take over in the 2nd half. Will it come down to which secondary out plays the other? With how the teams like to play on offense I would not at all be surprised.

I still don't feel we are there yet up front. I think we drop this one 35-24. I hope I'm wrong.
