If this is true, I don't think anyone could blame him. Has to be tough turning down more money and a chance to coach at FBS. Bob isn't getting any younger and these opportunities won't come around too often. He would leave USD a much better program than what he walked into. It would make a lot of sense for how emotional he was after the SDSU and Sam Houston State game.

By the way I love the Argus Leader drama behind all this. I think when Mick Garry tweeted "You others" he was referring to Matt Zimmer who covers SDSU for Argus Leader. He was the first one to tweet the Football Scoop story. Is stig and the jacks behind all of this??? I would think otherwise, but after the #crampgate I wouldn't put it past them.

Usually coaches are contractually obligated to notify their current employer that they speaking with another school. Hopefully Coach Neilson is just playing the game and trying to get a raise for him and his staff. This would really hurt if he left, as the program finally was becoming what we all believed it could be. |
