2018-2019 Schedule

I have seen a few schedules come out for other schools, but nothing in our conference, other than that the bunnies will be playing at Marquette in December. I am looking forward to this season, especially the Puerto Rico trip!

Puerto Rico should be fun, especially in cold December. Last year the league schedules didn't come out until early August. I'll have to look to see when the non-con schedules were announced...

Looks like August 21 2017 was when the full schedule was announced last year!

I saw that the Summit League schedule was announced in Early August last year. Even if they have partial non-con schedules right now, they may have to wait to announce the full schedule until the league one comes out. Who knows?

I think it's usually earlier than that but last year was different because of IUPUI leaving and messing the schedule up

I just looked at the story archives on GoYotes.com.  They released the schedule in late August in 2017, 2016, 2015 and 2014.  I think that is the normal time-frame.  The fact that a few match-ups come out early is at the school's discretion, I think.

2016: 21-12 (12-6 Big Ten#4)...advanced to NCAA 2nd round (Moren wins B1G COY)
2015: 15-16 (4-14 Big Ten#12).no postseason (first year with Teri Moren HC)
2014: 21-13 (5-11 Big Ten#8)...advanced to WNIT quarterfinal (lost to SDSU)

Replacing Buss and Cahill won’t be easy, but the Hoosiers are in the fortunate position of having Patberg and Wise ready to go, and already with a year in Moren’s system under their belts. If the pair can step-in and play leading roles, then there is no reason to expect a drop-off when coupled with the anticipated growth of Royster, Penn, Yeaney and the supporting cast.

Indiana seems destined to be a guard oriented team that will likely play three or even four guard lineups at times given its depth at that position. That is a formula that could work well since most of the guards will have length and can also rebound effectively.

One thing that would certainly help would be to get off to a stronger start in conference play. The Hoosiers struggled out of the Big Ten gate in each of the last three years, and that slow start is likely what kept them out of the NCAA tournament the last two seasons.

Nadine Domond was HC 2014-2016.  She won SWAC COY in 2016, then left to be an asst at Rutgers.  One of her assistants, Freddie Murray, was interim HC in 2017, and full-time HC in 2018.

#5 Shakyla Hill is a standout player for them.

Surprisingly, they were not invited to the post-season last year, despite having 19 wins.  This will be Charity Elliot's 7th season as Head Coach of the team.  It looks like she has made steady progress with this team.

There could be an interesting match-up in the LMU/USD game. Sjerven faced redshirt sophmore Meghan Mandel twice in high school (Rogers vs Orono).

Hannah and Meghan not only faced each other in high school, they faced each other in quite a few AAU tournaments over four years. They were both recruited by several of the same colleges. Meghan was more of an outside player, while Hannah was more of an inside player.

Looks like Hannah got a combined 27 points, 33 rebounds and 13 blocks in those two games!

Would be great to pull off a win in the SCSC!  They were uncharacteristically bad last year, for a perennially good team.  They have quite the following, too.  I wouldn't be surprised to see a good number of 'Clones fans make the trip.
