To me Lamb is a shooting guard. Korngable is a small forward. Kunzer a point guard, so I don’t think it’s inconceivable they all 3 start. But we shall see.

And there it is, Coach P just broke news on pregame. Monica Arens out for the year. There was talk around Vermillion months ago of the possibility for a missed season when she was spotted on crutches, sporting a big knee brace and said she had had surgery. Honestly, I was surprised the news didn't come out earlier. For sure USD did a good job of keeping it under wraps.

Huge loss. Monica is one of those "glue" players that does all the blue-collar dirty work to keep the team together. Well, really that's an identity for the whole team. But Monica really epitomized that.
Well, medical shirt or not, she will have an opportunity to play next year if she wants to. She is a nursing major, so I'm sure that will play into her decision.
I think a fitting tribute would be for a Yote to draw a charge in each game this year. Jeniah U. did it in this first game.

If anyone has season tickets but doesn’t feel comfortable attending or just can’t make it, pm me. I would be interested in attending and already had virus so not overly concerned about it.

In case everyone didn't notice, this does specifically say for December. It wouldn't be surprising to see this extending to January, but as it stands that's a total of two home games. Men against UMKC and women against Lipscomb.

Coach P said they are trying to get a few more non-con games, but it is tough. (in the recent interview with Jay E.)

Does anyone know why the women's games aren't broadcast in the Sioux Falls market? If you're in that market, you know that the men's games can be heard on 95.7, which is great, but it would sure be nice to have a local affiliate for the women, especially given our limited opportunities to see them in person this season. Trying to listen to a game on KVHT in SF is a frustrating experience and always has been.

very good point on the women not being available in SF. i had the radio broadcat streamed on my phone then through the blue tooth into the car radio and speakers so i found a way around it.

Same experience here. 106.3 KVHT Yankton is hit or miss throughout the city. Very frustrating to try to listen to a game on there. I hadn't realized 95.7 was a thing, so I'll check that out. The stream from GoYotes.com (or the TuneIn app) is more reliable. I also resorted to use BlueTooth in my car from my phone stream, rather than deal with the radio. (as I ran my kids all over town). I have unlimited data, so someone without that would have to make some choices.

There are no wbb affiliates. My guess is that it’s simply a money thing and advertising dollars not being there for wbb. There’s also an issue with program directors at stations. When we played in the football playoffs a few years ago, 95.7 didn’t cover the hour of pregame before kickoff because it would’ve cut even more into their Christmas music programming and the ad $ that came from it. Only the flagship 106.3 FM is available over the air unfortunately. The tunein app has been less and less reliable for me, so I just stream from the GoYotes website.

I guess the moral of the story is: "don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good". We have multiple ways of watching/streaming/listening to our Coyote games. We also have the twin blessings of a very professional USD broadcasting team, and Midco Sports. The times that really suck is when important games are on the road, and there are zero options, or very poor options of following the game (like the Summit Volleyball Tournament in Denver). We should count our blessings...
Although it would be nice to have a reliable radio option in SF for WBB (and other sports).

Not sure if this was mentioned anywhere else, but Ugofsky sprained her ankle in practice prior to the Lipscomb game. Watson started in her place. Coach P said in the postgame that she didn't have a timeline on her return, but that she is working hard on rehab.
