Watson had a defensive series early in the 3rd quarter that was awesome to watch, even by her standards. When the replay is out, I'll post the game time, but she beat Selland at the top of the key, beat the post who was trying to screen her, and caused a turnover (though someone else will get credit for the steal). It was awesome. I just watched the replay and the first 5 minutes of the 3rd quarter didn’t appear.

I watched the whole Midco broadcast live via ESPN+ and there were no notable issues.

Basically it just extended the half-time break until there was like 6 minutes left of the 3rd. Maybe if I watched it again it would be different. Oh, well. Nice halftime piece on Lamb.

Update: I may have just fast-forwarded too far. It’s there.
Also: would it be classless to say “#notmypreseasonPOY”? If so, I won’t say it. No worries.

Sometimes you just have to tip your hat. The Coyotes are simply the better team right now. Just like the Jacks Men are better. I don't think you will find many Yote fans claiming the Coyotes lost the Men's game other than for the simple reason that the Jacks are simply the better team. The Jacks fans should simply just admit that the Coyotes are better right now and stop whining about everything.
There was nothing the Jacks could have done to win this game other than playing a great basketball game. Officials, style of play etc. was not the deciding factor. The Coyotes are simply better right now and in Vermillion it is not close. I am guessing in Brookings it will be anyone's game but the Yotes should be slight favorites.

Doesn’t matter where they play. State does not currently have the offensive firepower to beat the U unless something seriously crazy happens. That’s a defensive squad that would give any great State team fits. And this ain’t a great State team.

The desperate pass went straight to Sjerven. Great play.

On 1 defensive series lasting under 20 seconds, she beat 3 offensive players, moving around SDSU's most athletic players like they were standing still.

Postgame pressers:
I have to say that it's nice when the losing program agrees to do a presser anyway. Tough to do. Both the men's and women's teams did that in these rivalry games. You also see it in the SLT tournament. Probably obligatory there.
