Yeah, the anti-Mike comments to tweets I had seen before are gone now. Either deleted by the author or cleaned up otherwise. When I originally saw those I was curious who would be doing that, so I looked at the accounts, but the accounts were not obviously a Jacks or Coyote fan. Nothing that interesting in them. Who knows? Might have been rando click-bait bots that I fell for. Social media is a complete mess of misinformation right now.
Let's get some more meaningful information to talk about... like a new coach announcement!

Let's get some more meaningful information to talk about... like a new coach announcement! I would imagine that they are trying to move quickly and that a decision isn't too far away. And yes, social media is a mess. The app formerly known as Twitter, in particular, is just a complete cesspool these days. Virtually unusable. Just a steady stream of misinformation, angry keyboard warriors, abject nastiness, and bots. At any rate, let's hope for a home run hire, whoever it may be. |

I'm sorry, absolutely the wrong hire!! This hire by our new A.D. better knock it out of the park quickly, or the Summit League tourney will be packed with blue and yellow all the time. And up next in the not so distant future a new football coach will be needed.

I would have been 100% onboard with Jewett getting the HC job and I really hope he stays on staff. That being said, Eighmey knows how to recruit the Midwest and typically had at least 2 SD girls on her team every year at Kearney.

I really like this hire! She had a very good recruiting class coming in at Idaho! Hopefully she can bring some of those transfers with her!

I would have been fine with Jewett but Eighmey has a strong resume. I'd be fine with her keeping Jewett on staff if she and he both want that. I do not want administration dictating who she hires as assistant coaches.

I was in Jewett’s corner mainly because I didnt know who the other applicants were and I liked what I saw of him both at SDSU and here. I don’t know much about Carrie except she was one of the candidates when Kayla got the job. I feel extremely bad for Idaho. We thought it was bad losing a HC after two years this is a one year turn around for them late in the game. She had some nice looking transfers coming in. Will be interesting to see if she pulls any along. I believe her husband has been her assistant coach at her last two stops but I haven’t verified that. Here’s hoping it all works out for longer than two years.
