Thanks to everyone that made that happen. I was only there for a short time but it was nice to see other people who still care.
How fun would tailgating have been on a day like that if the entire tailgating area would have been packed. Dreams for some day.

Shoot Yote14, my problem with the offense all season is that we never established an identity. I don't think we ran the ball enough to establish an identity! It has just felt like what we run is a collection of plays that don't really have a rhyme or reason. Break down an offense on film sometime. You will see offenses run an offensive system, plays designed to set up other ploss and work off of each other. Perfect example of that was watching a breakdown of the Browns offense yesterday on Countdown. Their running game sets up their passing game. The presnap and immediate psot snap look gives every indication of run and then, boink, nice pass play. The Gophers killed Iowa with it all day long two weeks ago. We have no offensive identity. We have no system. Just some plays strung together. These are very interesting points. It seems like we put some of our favorite plays together because at one time it worked and there is no reasoning behind what we do. This makes me want a new offensive coordinator even worse.

I could not have said it any better than how you put it Yote53. Honestly. That is 100% correct. But do you think we have the resources to do more financially right now?
I feel like we do but are just stuck in the habit of not doing what it takes financially because we never have and making that change is too uncomfortable for us to do.

After not knowing how the ladies would actually be this year even with all of the starters coming back they look amazing. If they play like this all year and stay injury free they should be at the top of the league with state for sure.

I agree with you Yote53 if it is working or has worked at all this season other than against William Penn. But for the most part all year it has not worked. After 11 games and having our 4 string running back starting we need to change it up on first down.

I would also ask everyone whether they think the lack of financial commitment to the football program and athletics in general is because we flat out do not have the money? Or is it because we are choosing to put that money elsewhere. My opinion from what I know is this. We obviously do not have the money coming in like NDSU does for athletics. I feel like we could commit the money it takes to coaches salaries, hiring more assistant coaches for football and getting the dome renovations completed but USD has always chose not to commit that type of money to those programs and build our endowment funds up. We have one of the newest and nicest campuses in the area. How does none of this fall over to our athletics? Make the commitment or fans will not follow. We already see it in this blog. Fans want to follow USD but the univesity is making it very difficult with the lack of commitment they are making. We have been lucky that in the past we have had some success in athletics without making the financial commitment. That will not continue at this level. If we are not careful we will lose every amount of support we have worked so hard to gain in the past 10 years.

I wish the USD fans could speak to the players that have been within this program the last 3 years regarding the troubles within the USD locker room. The BIGGEST problem is Wesley Beschorner. He's got to go. Not one of the players respect him. All of the coaches on the staff are coaches that Glenn is giving "a start at coaching" a chance on. The recruits are not being told the truth & it is because, what Glenn is telling & what is happening is not the same. The kids' do not have a training table, all they have is muscle milk. The players speak very highly of Coach Petrino, Coach Williams & Coach Glenn, when it comes to a strong support system, but Glenn has given the "reigns of the team to Beschorner", which is a joke. What is upsetting is, is the fact that they have the talent within the team, they do not know how to use them. Coach Beschorner is coaching as if he was the quarterback & is not changing the plays to match the talent. This last Saturday was a huge disappointment, but the kids never gave up. It's sad - unless some of these coaches are fired, these kids will never be able to play at their potential. Most of these kids were the top players in their respective states & most of them were the best from where they came from. There was no back up kicker. I also know that there is no one to help the kickers in getting better. I am perplexed at the way this has all been ran. Another thing, Joe Glenn never wears a headset?!! Not impressed about that at all. Joe is just the PR man!! He needs to take reign of this team & get rid of Beschorner.... Nice first post. Disgruntled coyote dad? I hope for the team's sake you're not. The last thing we need is our players being told how great they are at home and hearing their parents say,"it's not your fault, it's Wesley's." I have heard a lot of the same concerns 5mill is bringing up. I do not know if they are true or not but regardless if there is smoke there is fire. I look at it as if nothing 5 mill is saying is true and all I hear is we have the talent than what is the problem if its not coaching? I agree, in my opinoin its not coach Glenn. The biggest disapointment is the offense. Its horrible. Even in a game where we have 8 rushing yards in the 4th quarter Wes is still trying to pound the ball up the middle on first down. Any of the plays that had success Saturday where plays I have not seen us run all year or very little all year. I sat at the Dome again on Saturday predicting ever first down play with almost 100% success. I also predicted every crucial 3rd down play. If I can call the play that often so can the opposing team's defense. Like I said I do not know if its true or not but I have heard the same thing all season long from multiple people that there is a huge lack of confindence in Wes by the team.

Does anyone know if Larson is back to 100%. Even at the end of last year I believe Coyote Corner interviewed him and he even admitted he wasnt quite back from his leg injury and you could see it when you watched him play. For that reason only I would lean towards Harris, Bos and Burnette at the guards level but if Larson is 100% finally he had some promise.

It will be a very tough game for the Yotes to win so I'm looking more at signs which make me more hopeful for a win in Brookings next week. One of those areas will be Khory Kilgore. The kid looked real good last week on a couple runs he had.
I know it was one game but he had some moves I have not seen in a running back on our team for a while. He's probably giving me the most excitement about Saturday.
Does anyone know if Jasper Sanders is healthy for Saturday?
My group is planning on checking out tailgaiting first. the RV idea sounds fun. Thanks to all that are making that happen.

I would have to imagine volleyball is like basketball where the bigs go fast so to get the 6'4" girl looks promising. They all seem to have had a lot of success in H.S. and AAU etc.

I also meant to post the original article from the Mitchel Daily Republic but I could not find the article anymore and got busy at work and ended up posting it before I wanted to. So I can see where my quote of canislatrans was confusing, sorry jackjd.
They may have taken it down honestly because there was some reaction to it as the gentleman that wrote the article graduated from SDSU and the title of the articlce if I remember correctly was "Poor USD, even when they win they lose". Alexis' response was very well written. I would also encourage reading it.

WNIT > NCAA Summit Conf. Title > NCAA (Summit Tourney Title) Sour grapes, much? Jackjd here is where canislatrans is stating that summit conf title is greater than summit tourney title. I agree. and above that he also states the WNIT is greater than the NCAA tourney. Which is ridiculous. So no exageration.

The store is great. It sounds like they will continue to get new/different items leading up to xmas so keep stopping back. I actually sent an email to Scheels a couple times over the last year about their lack of gear and how SDSU has the end cap in the entire store. Thats fine if you want to say they sell more SDSU than USD stuff. but there is more SDSU stuff than USD, Iowa, Iowa State, NDSU and Nebraska combined. No way they sell more stuff than all of those schools together. I GET IT EVERYONE WORKING AT SCHEELS/retail GRADUATED FROM SDSU.
