Okay Mr. Administrator, NOW you can start a new message board section "Missouri Valley Football Conference" or some similar, suitable name. Here's the official announcement from the USD Athletics website: www.usdcoyotes.com/sports/news/release.asp?release_id=6016Okay, now back to regular programming: Beat USD!

I would like to congratulate the University of South Dakota on becoming a member of the MVFC. I have enjoyed my many visits to Vermillion and wish you best of luck in the future.
Go Sioux

Thank you yotemeal for starting this up! I was actually at the USD press conferences and just got back and this was the first thing I was going to do haha.
It was a great time up there!

Any chance we can get a MVFC logo up somewhere around here? I realize Coyotefan will have to give up his Big Sky Guy moniker, but I don't think he'll have too many problems doing so. He can still be Missouri Valley Guy if he wants to. =)

Basically ISU and SIU didn't really want USD in but since they also don't have to go play NDSU or SDSU very often it was ok with them. When UNI was nearing their game with USD in Vermillion many of their fans were embarrassed for having to make the trip to the Dakotadome. UNI may be saying all the right things but many UNI fans are not happy today. Many UNI fans think USD is a joke.
If USD plays like they have this year and continues to make excuses like I am sure will happen we will be seeing alot of 8th and 9th place finishes. But that will be ok afterall "we are in the valley now". Winning won't be much of a priority.

Most, not all, of the comments I have read on the Panther Nation forum have been supportive of adding USD. Per Vandrovec's blog in the Argus yesterday, UNI's football coach advocated adding USD to the MVFC. My best guess is that USD is a closer trip to UNI that all the MVFC schools excluding Western Illinois and Missouri State.

Unlike what Coyote Fan is saying, the UNI fans aren't against USD like he thinks. Yes, not all of them are that enthused, but they do like the idea of USD in the MVFC.
Winning is still priority, plain and simple. Plus if it played out how Coyote Fan thinks and winning isn't a priority, then how would USD have done in a tough BSC conference? yeah, exactly.
I agree with Yotemeal on his post. That post by Coyote Fan was a big WHAT? and "they didn't do what I wanted them to do" in the BSC.
I can see why SIU and Indy State both said that, and that's what Patty said today with some schools not always playing USD or SDSU every year. I think it was a fair question on there part and something that can be worked out honestly. They have every right to ask that just like USD put the gun to the MVFC's head.
I will see what I can do on adding the MVFC somewhere. I need to get educated with that stuff haha.

Trust me, I am open to suggestions, because I really liked this idea. Now I gotta add the Summit logo haha

Nice job on the logo admin. Need to get the Summit League logo at the top of the Summit League section. (Perhaps could find a way to combine them both together for coyotefan so he can replace his avatar.)
