JVG says Power is out indefinitely with a foot injury and Johns didn’t make the trip due to a shoulder injury. At what point do you pull a redshirt?

I don't think we'll get to see Griesel play. It looks like he started their first four games but hasn't seen any action since.

For the first time, in a long time, NDSU doesn't have a dominant guard. Coming into the year I would have thought Tyson Ward would fill the void for Paul Miller, but for whatever reason, he has been relegated to a bench role. Their best player is the versatile spark plug Deng Geu, who also comes off the bench. Their second best player is another athletic big man Rocky Kreuser, who is looking like one of the most improved players in The Summit. If we can limit their 3's and contain these two while making some buckets down the stretch, I think we stand a chance.

I hope he enjoyed his free cost of attendance.

Self seems genuinely frustrated by the Jayhawks’ offensive woes early on. I think it’s safe to say the Toddfather’s defensive schematics have gotten to his head. Self has no idea what Lee has in store for him the 2nd half.

I noticed Harvey was missing from the bench yesterday. We could really use him to bang around down low against their bigs, but at least 7'1" Azubuike is still out. We actually matchup better than I thought we would initially. The only starter they have over 6'5" is Lawson (6'9") and he is looking like an all-American at this point. We need to get him in foul trouble early if we want to keep this a 30 point game.
Mick said in his weekly chat that there might be an academic casualty--anyone have more details on this?

It will be interesting to see how Jech closes out his career. He has been an enigma since his sophomore year. I think the general consensus was that he was going to be a prime time player coming in and certainly felt that way to me after a good freshman campaign. His situation reminds me of Flack in terms of the injuries holding him back. Clearly he's not in game shape yet, but if he could give us 20 minutes consistently that will be huge. Lee said he's worked hard to get back as fast as he has from knee surgery. Hopefully he's looking to end his career on high note--he has an opportunity to be the unsung hero after the loss of Hagedorn. I wouldn't be surprised if he's starting by the end of the year and moves TBM back to the 4.

IMO, here is the thing: USD needs to be solid for 3 days in early March in SF. Lee has 2.5 months to test different scenarios on O, teach up the D, and get some healthy bodies. Unlike the past couple seasons, the Yotes are not playing for/expecting a SL Championship, so the goal is winning a tourney where the favorite relies on shooting 3s, and we know off nights/foul trouble/upsets happen. It takes some excitement out of the regular season for me, but the goal is in reach... Spot on...For as bad as they have looked at times this year, Lee was correct in saying that they are going to be much better at the end of the year than the beginning. This year the regular season is an experiment with the hopes of figuring it out by the time March arrives. After last year, they lost their top 3 scorers and well over 50% of their offense now with Hags out. Unfortunately we don't have any clear cut alpha dogs that have that supreme confidence like Mooney had and it's going to take some more time for a clear cut go-to-guy to evolve. No matter how good our D is we are going to have to figure out a way to make more buckets and close out games.

...and no Armstrong sighting in the first half. 🤔 He must be on the naughty list after the KC game. I realize it's an NAIA game but Kelley looks much improved and is playing with a lot of aggressiveness. Robinson had a great looking drive for a layup and we need more of that.

Can't say I'm surprised by this, but the bigger question is will he actually return next year or grad transfer out? Wasn't it rumored he was looking to transfer when Smith left? I was surprised when he decided to stay for this year and hope he stays true to his remarks in this article.
This seems like it could be eerily similar to what Brandon Key is doing at SDSU, albeit for different reasons. He decided to not play this year, but is redshirting and then grad transferring next year. I believe he still is a part of the team, just doesn't play.

Too bad Harvey can’t play more than a minute at a time. We could use him on #21 who has about 50 pounds on TBM. That guy is dominating us in every facet. Harvey looked decent when he was in there.

I don't understand the NET... How does PFW's NET jump from 239 to 184 when they got blown out by UMKC (NET 256) at home, barely beat Cleveland St (NET 309), and blew out Eastern Ill. (NET 311). Yet we drop to 185 after almost beating Baylor (NET 148) on the road and handling Bakersfield (NET 264).
KenPom seems to have the most accurate rankings to me. There are not huge fluctuations in the rankings with teams moving up or down as opposed to the NET and RPI.
