Well the NCAA just moved up the release of the bracket to 5PM Eastern time. There go the watch parties.

This was going to be a tough game regardless but when our best player gets hurt and basically has to try and play on one leg it is all but impossible. Macy Miller is an amazing player but I am so glad the Yotes don't have to face her anymore after this.

Duffy is an X factor and her getting hurt is really hindering the Yotes. She just isn't the same on that bad ankle.

Great win for the Yotes. Anyone else amazed at how much better FT shooters the Yotes are as a team over last year?

Lamb was great down the stretch. Duffy looked like she might’ve got a bit fatigued down the stretch, couple of shots they needed her to make just weren’t there. That may have been part of the decision on not having her take a crack at Macy. I think Lamb has gotten better as the season has gone on. Just like last year, I feel like she is becoming more a part of the offense as the season wears on. How her shot at the end of regulation did not go in is an absolute mystery. Look liked the ball was almost all the way through the hoop and then rattled out.

I don't think there is a team in the SLT that the Yotes are not capable of beating. Looking back on the Summit season, I think there is really only one game where the Yotes played great the entire game and that was the PFW game at the SCSC. Outside of that, even in the wins, there were several minutes of just not very good basketball. If the Yotes can put together 40 minutes they are capable of beating anyone IMO.

Oh boy-as if this program needed any more difficulties. As bad as they have been the last few seasons, the team was starting to trend upward IMO.

Kind of ugly but a W non the less. Beatty had one heck of a shooting night but the Coyotes survive. Now on to Peyton Manning's favorite city- OMAHA!

Love when we are able to get SD kids. They all seem to have a grittiness about them and Kyah sounds like a great kid.

Ugly wins still count the same as pretty ones. Let's hope the Yotes can take care of business the next 2 days.

What a fantastic day to be a Coyote fan! Great defensive adjustments made life hard for the Tigers and offensively the Coyotes attacked the paint and made the easy shots count. Duffy again proved she is one of the top players in the Summit League. As I watched the game the player who seems to be the glue player for this team is McKeever. She does so many little things that don’t always show up in the box score and again today she scored some huge buckets when the Coyotes needed a score. I love watching her play!

Congratulations to the Norwegian Mafia in the win over the #23 Cyclones. It does make one think about the ability to bring in P5 schools to visit and level the field. What happens if this becomes a regular occurrence? Do the P5s just stop coming to Vermillion or Brookings? I don't think so. The success of the South Dakota schools helps the RPI of anyone they play. To me if you are a P5 school you want to play teams like USD and SDSU in the non conference to boost your own RPI instead of playing lesser competition at home. SDSU has had success at home against P5 schools for a few years no but are still able to bring in teams like Oregon this year.

I know yesterday wasn't the most exciting game but I have to say how much I enjoyed watching Claudia Kunzer play. She played so hard. I mean towards the end of the game when USD was up by 60 she was still flying around and diving on the floor. Regardless of the outcome of the game, it is fun to watch kids play so hard.
